Join Art Cellar & South Florida Science Center & Aquarium for SCIENCE + ART for a totally electric-creative experience!
Program will include all supplies & instruction for $120 per session, comprised of 4 classes held on Thursdays 4:30-6pm. Classes will start with 45 minute Art of Science After-school lesson from a SFSCA Science Educator and will be followed by 45 minute Art Integration project. Geared to accommodate students age 6-12yr

This session Science tops are as follows:
Oct 24 – Chemical Concoctions: Students will have the opportunity to make their own polymer (squishy soap) while conducting experiments that reinforce chemistry concepts of atoms, density, and chemical change.
Nov 7- Shark Tooth Lab: Student teams will utilize scientific observation to sort and classify genuine fossil shark teeth, examine real shark jaw specimens, learn about various shark habitats, and create their own shark tooth necklaces.
Nov 14 – Nitromania: Students will see physical changes occur before their very eyes as they learn about the states of matter in this “chilling” program about liquid nitrogen. (All about LN2 / states of matter and freezing items and smashing them).
Nov 21 – Circuit Science: Students create their own functioning electrical circuits while they discover open and closed circuits and the difference between conductors and insulators.
